What's New May/June 2005 Spring arrived with some gorgeous spring weather, as plans and dreams for forthcoming litters began to take form here at Tartanside. The Keystone and Central Jersey Collie Club specialties spearheaded the May shows here on the East Coast. Marti Wexlins Ch. Tartanside Brookwood Fiesta, took Best of Variety at the Keystone Specialty under Barbara Kenealy, and went on to a Group III! She had taken a group II the weekend before at Wilmington KC, and a Group IV at Plainfield at the end of the month! A beautiful daughter of Ch. Tartanside Vanguard, by the name of Limericks Celebration took WB at both of these specialties to complete her championship. Owned by Caroline Jones, her dam was Ch. Tartanside Implication! Tartanside Avant Guardian, owned by Vivienne Richards was WD/BOS at the Collie Club of Long Island Specialty in May. Fran Hughes and Tartanside Pinafore, a full sister to Avant Guardian, picked up another point at Wilmington Kennel Club under Polly Smith. Tartanside Butterscotch, owned by Tammy Marino-Lamont made her show debut during the Greater Philadelphia weekend, taking Best Puppy at her first show and 4th in the puppy Herding Group. Butterscotch is by Ch. Tartanside Dauntless ex Ch. Tartanside Innuendo. Congratulations Karl & Pat Rosenbaum and their precocious little tricolor Tartanside Rosewood Alliance who was WB/BW/Best of Breed at Skyline KC for her first point! She is by Ch. Tartanside Allegiance and out of Ch. Tartanside Riviera. Tartanside Chances Are, by Ch. Tartanside Vanguard ex Ch. Tartanside Foolproof went to his first show at Paducah, KC, where he was WD/BW/BOS for his first point for proud new owner Kim Ragland. As June began to rear its head, the heat was arriving.
